About KAMP Woods
My name is KAMP Woods — I’m a writer, poet, and the author of Dismantled Damsel. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where my love for storytelling was shaped early on by the creativity and influence of my mother and grandparents. Their passion for music, words, and self-expression naturally found its way into me, and writing has been my outlet ever since.
I earned my Associate’s degree in Arts from Houston Community College, and I’m currently working toward my degree in Communications — continuing to learn, grow, and sharpen my voice as both a writer and a creative.
This website is a space dedicated to my journey — a collection of stories, reflections, and resources that offer a closer look into my creative world. Through my blog, I share personal insights, the inspiration behind my work, lessons I’ve learned, and milestones I’m proud of along the way.
Outside of poetry, I also enjoy writing reviews on Goodreads and Letterboxd, where I share my thoughts on books and films that move, challenge, or inspire me. From time to time, I also have the pleasure of selling Dismantled Damsel in person at local events — one of my favorite ways to connect directly with readers and supporters.
At the heart of everything I create is a desire to tell honest stories, celebrate growth, and leave behind words that people can feel and return to — long after the last page.

If you’re new here, I invite you to explore my blog, check out my latest reviews, and most importantly — consider adding a copy of Dismantled Damsel to your personal library. It’s more than poetry — it’s pieces of my heart, my healing, and my hope that these words find you right on time.
